What sorts of books?
By Mariella

Clip to ScrapBook
Catie: are you looking for ideas to keep the students working, entertained and busy or are you looking more for books about discipline/classroom behaviour? There are a few books about being a sub (I've found them on-line
for purchase but can't recall the names now - you could do a search with your search engine) but there are also wonderful sites with great information that you can carry around with you to use if you need it. A few I like are The Teacher's Desk (great ideas for making your own flashcards for all sorts of activities), abcteach.com (everything from single dot to dot and colouring pages
to whole units on various subjects) and also Laura Candler's site (all three of these can be found with your search engine). There are many, many more but these 3 come to mind because they are good and easy for me to remember!
