What sorts of books?

Catie: are you looking for ideas to keep the students working, entertained and busy or are you looking more for books about discipline/classroom behaviour? There are a few books about being a sub (I've found them on-line| for purchase but can't recall the names now - you could do a search with your search engine) but there are also wonderful sites with great information that you can carry around with you to use if you need it. A few I like are The Teacher's Desk (great ideas for making your own flashcards for all sorts of activities), abcteach.com (everything from single dot to dot and colouring pages | |
to whole units on various subjects) and also Laura Candler's site (all three of these can be found with your search engine). There are many, many more but these 3 come to mind because they are good and easy for me to remember!
