Daily time requirements By 1956BD

I teach third grade, but the time requirements are the same in our district for kinder through 5th.

90 minutes math
120 minutes language arts
45 minutes science
30 minutes social studies


30 minute lunch
45 minute essential areas-alternating art, P.E., music
30 minute recess

This leaves about 30 minutes a day for transitions.

We also feel pressed for time throughout the year. Social studies often gets squeezed out with everything we have to cover.
