letting go
By roo

Clip to ScrapBook
I had a very similar class this year. We just "clicked" from day one. They were so enthusiastic and supportive of each other, and I felt like I was really able to teach them better than any group I've ever had, because
they (overall) really wanted to learn. They had a great sense of humor, too. I had perfect attendance this year myself, and it's mostly because I didn't want to miss out on any days with them...they were that great! I made a slideshow for the end of the year and it was very emotional for me, putting it together and thinking about letting go. They were all very emotional on the last day,
too. Even my toughest boys voluntarily gave me a hug on the way out the door. I think I'm still in denial that I won't be seeing them again next week. When you spend so much time together, it's natural to become attached I think. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing such an emotional goodbye.
