Went to college in that area By NJ Teacher

When I graduated, which was quite awhile ago now, the job market was tight because of all the colleges in the area turning out teachers. Not sure about now, though. I thought the people were very friendly, and I liked the fact that you had the cultural advantages of a small city but could be in the country relatively quickly. The New York state wine producing region is just a little to the east and south in the Finger Lakes, and I agree about the state parks. Letchworth State Park is especially beautiful. As for the weather, there is lake effect snow, which can be severe, but in the other three seasons, it is very nice. There is a Lilac Festival in the spring, (or there used to be), so winter has to end up there sooner or later! Good luck in your job search.:s)
