Rochester
By jch

Clip to ScrapBook
I grew up in Brockport, now considered a suburb of Rochester. I've been gone a long time, but I still love Brockport. The city itself has changed a lot. The growth brings its own sets of problems.

There are still
areas outside of Rochester that have retained the small town flavor Brockport had.

Winters may be considered cold by some, but now that I'm in the West and living with 15 and 20 below zero temps, I'll take the cold and snows of Upstate anyday! At least when it's cold there, it snows, which tends to validate the temperatures. Not where I am in the West - it's just cold - no real
snow to go along with it unless you're in the mountains. Seems to me that prayers to the "Snow Gods" are answered more frequently in Upstate than where I am now!:D

I've been gone too long to give a valid response, but I do know of others here on PT from the area, so you should get some up-to-date information. In my opinion, it's still one of the most beautiful places in the US. How I miss the autumns (and Zweigle's hot dogs)!LOL
