I also live in North Carolina. Basically, all you have to do is complete a sub application. You don't have to have a teaching certificate in North Carolina to sub. You will have to obtain a bus license to drive a school bus. If you are interested in young adults, you will probably be highly in demand in high school and middle school as a sub. There always seems to be such a need in those levels. Good luck in your subbing!
