Thank you all so very much for your help! :D

We did the independent reading today ~ using the books usually shared with partners. After reading they wrote a short response and then shared these with
those who have been their partners. While they were reading, I conferenced with them ~ Regie Routman style. :cool:

THIS WAS THE BEST DAY I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME! :D

Everything was pleasant and so much more meaningful than ever before. I have read of teachers having similar experiences ~ but always was a bit of an unbeliever! Now I see the light ~ it was wonderful! I

only wish tomorrow weren't Field Day, so that we could do it all over again! ;)
