It all depends

It really depends on your personality and how you deal with the different ages. I know teachers who would really struggle teaching grades K to 2, others who would fall apart teaching above grade 3. So I think it's great to try the different grades until you get a better feel as to which age group you prefer. I also strongly believe that each grade level has it's pros and cons. Personally I loved subbing in grades 1 to 3, and I wouldn't have ventured past grade 6.
