Clip to ScrapBook
Oh, I do have to share this one FANTASTIC moment in the partner reading :D :

I would always ask them to discuss their reading at a good stopping spot. I suggested that the reader could ask the one who was silently
following along a question ~ to confirm that they were comprehending (or, at least, paying attention).

Well, they turned it into a game ~ awarding points for correct answers.

Some even changed it up further ~ giving two points if they could answer the question without looking at the book.

For those competitive, non-readers(and all too often boys) ~ they just
LOVED seeing who could top the other. I loved it too! :D

In case you decide to try it, the one glitch was that they would spend more time on the questioning and really didn't get in the needed reading. :)
