Have you been teaching my classes? By dancersmoon

:D I can't believe that with your letter and each reply to your letter I find myself nodding and saying yes, yes, Lord. :D If you have read any of my posts you know the kind of years we have had at my school. We were all sick last year and many, many, teachers were looking for other jobs or transferring. Problem is - the older or more years you have the less desirable you are in our county. We happen to know what is going on and are not so easily used. All that above is to say we all go through years like you have had and all feel sick about it like you do. I can tell you that our teachers | | bonded, talked it out, cried together, went to the superintendent together, were lied to - together, and help each other to this day. I dread next year. I know that the kids coming up are wild. One third grade is across the hall from me and one is my next door neighbor. I hear teachers that never raise their voices letting the kids have it. These children just don't seem to care that they don't do what is asked of them. :(It will be one of those years 2008-2009. It is true that they seem to come in cycles and it has been about six years since I have had one of those classes. I hope you feel better and realize that you are not alone, put some distance between you and your teaching (go out and have fun), and if you continue to feel bad - talk to your family doctor.
