Ah--Time!

:)Yes, time is the issue! I struggled and struggled with fitting it all in my schedule this year. Our district requires a basal and I used Reading Workshop also because I so strongly believe that this is where the kids learn to read, think, and love books. I have to admit that my shared/partner read was the part that got shortened. Even if it was 5 minutes at the end of independent reading time, it gave the kids a chance to read together or talk about their books or discuss our reading point.
