I appreciate the previous posts. . .

I thought it was better to read with a partner ~ because research says (I was told on a PP) that some portion (I've forgotten which) of your brain is stimulated when you read aloud.

:)

Would a fair compromise be to have them read with the partner (same text, obviously) and then to continue reading this same text, but independently and silently? Or to read this same text together at the end of the reading time? Or to watch for a favorite paragraph and then read this together at the end of the reading time?
