Changing Grade Levels
By calexa2228

Clip to ScrapBook
I think it's best to work with adults that you enjoy. Working with children all day long lends itself to needing solid adult relationships. Six years of teaching a grade level is long enough. It's time for a change. Go for
it. If it's only one grade level up or down, it will probably be very similar to what you are teaching now. Change is good. If you are changing from a higher grade level to a much lower one, 5th to 1st, think about this change for awhile. 5th graders are much different from 1st graders. 1st graders are much too needy for my taste, I don't like working with the little ones as much as I
do the older children, just a matter of taste. But you may enjoy it and be pleasantly surprised. Either work it out with your grade level, or make a move. Successful teachers are successful in any grade they teach because being a teacher is not what you do, it's who you are!
