suggestion By nanteach

This may sound kind of boring but do you have state standards or district standards that you could look at and get ideas? Make an example for the parents and list the kind of paper they will need to write on for next year.
A teacher friend of mine had her kids keep a summer journal with illustrations, post cards, etc of their summer and brought them to school for show and share..
Kinda boring.....sorry....my brain is dead:(
