Favorite Book Posters

My students are working on a poster that tells about their favorite book. They have been using the computer lab to write a summary that would tell about the book but only enough to make someone want to read the book they are writing about. They are also writing about their favorite part of the book. These written statements go on their posters. They draw a picture that goes with their favorite part. Also on the board is the title and author of the book. Once the poster is completed they make up 5 note cards that they will use to give an oral presentation about their book based on information that is on their poster. This project combines many different skills from computer use, writing note cards to oral presentation.
