I am in a private school in another state. We do 4 days a week from 8-4. It is great. Some public schools here are discussing going to it. Personally I would hate to go to a 5 day schedule now. It is really really nice and I could see where you could save money. The only thing is we have to kindda cram in more to our schedule. We have double up days where we teach a couple of lessons, to try and get everything in for the year. I really do think it is great.
