grreat experience

I think it would be great experience, especially before student teaching and having your own classroom in public school someday. I taught at some alternative schools and preschool settings before I became a public school classroom teacher. I cannot express enough how much I pull from those experiences and how much they shaped me as a thinker and learner. After two years at a Waldorf school, I knew it was not for me. I did take a lot of great ideas and thoughts with me and applied what works in my new setting. Again, really happy I had those experiences while I was building the foundation of myself as a a teacher. All along you will be learning a lot about child development and formulating your own philosophy of teaching and learning. I say, Go for it!
