I agree that if it is left in the room it should be able to be used by the incoming teacher. We had a teacher who stored boxes of her things in the computer lab (lots of empty shelves out of the way) so the new teacher could mover her things into her classroom. She left only things that she thought the teacher could use. The incoming teacher should have access to the entire room-storage and all.
