We have a PTA, but they take pretty good care of us and we are in a low income area. They give each teacher $100 reimbursement of receipts for classroom materials of our choice. They also will take requests throughout the| year for little things that might come up like pay for field trips and cover Weekly Reader subscriptions that some children can't afford or postage for a postcard exchange. They buy things for Kdg and 6th grade graduations and will help the music teacher with school plays if needed. They also took great care of us during teacher appreciation week with something nice every day (luncheon, | |
massages, coffee, chocolate!). They also provide snocones on field day and the last day of school and help with the last day of school celebrations (water fun for K-3 and cookouts for 4-6). Like I said, they are great!:s)
