I didn't do the actual planning because our media director does it. However with you as the planner and running it with a media director and a class I think it would be excellent. The students could easily do the heavy work of rolling the carts and setting up the displays. I would not put them in charge of the money. Ours is open for one week all day long during parent teacher conferences so parents are already there. I'd sure look into it. Our media center gets all the points and buys books with them.
