Clip to ScrapBook
I graduated from university 11 years ago, and then taught school for two years.

But then I had kids and decided to take a few years off. Of course, by the time I wanted to go back to teaching the market was flooded and
the ONLY teaching positions available were sub positions. But with 2 under 2 and no family close by I decided that trying to get 3 of us out the door on short notice was impossible and I went into non-traditional education. (doing public and school education for non-profits and charities). Well, now both kids are in school and I want to go back! I interviewed for a 20% teaching position
-- and I start in the fall! It is only 1 day/week so I'll continue my other work, with the plan that next year (2002) I'll be back in the classroom full-time. (I'm in Southern Ontario)

But I'm not sure where I fit! I'm kind of a supply teacher at one day/week (though I'll always know what class and what day). And I'm certainly a second career teacher (or is it 3rd??).

Really glad to find this site!
