Characteristics of a good principal By Eskimo Pie

I think having presence and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders. I have had some principals in the past that make themselves available, not just behind a desk. They are there in the halls when students are tranistioning, during lunch, recess, etc.

Building relationships with staff, students, parents, and the community is so important. I think the relationships need to be established or a principal that knows how to build relationships to be an effective leader.
