I've considered myself a teacher ever since my first year of methods courses. I went in and I taught. At my methods program we were in schools four days a week, all day long. It was a lot like the real deal. I referred to myself as a student teacher once during my student teaching experience - in the very beginning of the year - and my principal went "No... You're a teacher." hehe. :)
So since my princpal's correction, I've always referred to myself as a teacher.
