Home Sweet Classroom....

I was going to mention that I put fabric on my bbs so that when you take things up and down the holes don't show like they do when you take things up and down from butcher paper. Our rooms are mostly white and I teach 1st/2nd
so I chose primary colors. The fabric is mostly solid with a subtle white patter (you can't see the pattern unless you get up close). I thought of going with a plain solid, but the pattern also hides seams, etc...
We also put up gutters this year. We put them under bulletin boards so that we can put books out that go with the bb topic. We have an area with 3 gutters to display

books that are favorites or books written by our students. Finally we have an area for seasonal/topical books.
We don't have floor lamps because we don't have enough outlets. I do have a loveseat couch, but I don't know if we will keep it...I like it, but I feel like the kids are just ruining it. I am going to see how the crew does in the fall...I am going to really set some good ground work for the appropriate usage....and then see how it goes.
