Here's an idea. If the kids are ganging up on you and singing or yelling or banging or whatever they are wont to do, try calling the main office. Make up a bogus reason. Let the secretaries know what you're up to. Kids
do not like the idea of the of the whole main office hearing them goof around. I've found that as soon as you pick up that phone or hit the intercom button, it works wonders. Use your imagination.

My brother is a music teacher and he sometimes just hits the record button on the stereo (even though there is no microphone). Kids are masters of changing the subject and blurring the

story. Kids don't like to think about what might happen when you make a permanent record. Writing down direct quotations is nice. A tape recording is even better.
