In SC, no retakes either!! One chance is all you get. If you do not pass for two years in a row, then the test can stand as a reason for retention.

Our legislature just voted to replace our PACT test by 2009 with a test that will give more timely results. This will give teachers an opportunity to address weaknesses. I'm anxious for more info. Now, our students are in the next grade before we know the results.
