Interesting to see howmany different ways we all do the same project!

I use a dried split pea for the egg, rotini for the caterpillar, shell for the chrysalis, and bowtie for the butterfly.

I also dye the pasta using alcohol and food coloring--green for the caterpillar, brown for the chrysalis, and orange for the butterfly, just to add some coloring. The project won't take 35 minutes. But, I added a sequence writing this year, which worked well after the project was done.
