Good Riddance
By bookwormin6th

Clip to ScrapBook
Wow, I must really be out of the loop. I've used this song on numerous occasions (graduation PowerPoints, end of year, Relay for Life) and I've never heard profanity at the top of the song.

I teach sixth grade, and most of my students know who Green Day is, even if they haven't heard this particular song.

Using a song from a movie soundtrack isn't necessarily a sure-fire indicator that students are familiar with the song. Most of my kids can't afford to go to the movies or buy or rent DVDs, and I haven't shown a video in class all year.

Good luck choosing the songs. There are a lot out there, and it can be a lot of fun.
