I received a memorable book when I retired from kdg. The entire k-5 building wrote a page. Each grade had a class picture as their first page. They wrote I remember -------when I was in kdg. and drew a picture. I was surprised how many different things impressed them and how so many drew themselves sitting on the lakeshore carpet. I have the book out in a guest room and so many comment about it.
