to Marie, my job

Clip to ScrapBook
This school I work at is in an economically disadvantaged area. It is busting at the seems literally and figuratively. They expect 2300 students next year when the school was only built to handle 1500. My district is extremely
large, the fifth largest in the nation. While I am on the list for about 20 different schools, I only get calls for three of them. the one I described I work at 99% of the time. That is why I hesitate about crossing it off my list. Before I do, I am going to travel around tomorrow and see about getting into some other schools and see how it goes.
As far as being economically
disadvantaged, that is no excuse for pushing a teacher or grabbing a teacher. I was raised on welfare by a single mother of three. Yes, I had my share of trouble too as a kid, but even I knew where to draw the line. Until teachers stop their policy of allowing kids to leave early, the dangers will persist. It is high time that principals get involved and put an end to it.
