PE once a week and recess every day

It is required by law that our students get 30 minutes a day. The only exception is if they have PE that day. I add a few extra minutes if they have been particularly good that day. We have a kickball field, 2 playgrounds, and a big open area where they can run and be kids. My grade level tries to go out at the same time so our students have someone new to socialize with.

I was amazed to read some of these posts. I thought every state required it. With childhood obesity and juvenile diabetes on the rise I would think every state would have required it.
