Sharpies! The big, thick kind. My student teaching class went together and bought me all kinds of sharpies. The big thick ones are great for posters, chart paper, etc. Heavy duty magnets for hanging things in the room. Depending on the age, a tub of arts and crafts supplies, such as yarn, pipe cleaners, glitter, construction paper, etc.
