IT IS NEVER OK
By Trish

Clip to ScrapBook
First of all, I can't address you by name because you didn't have the courage to use your name. Second, you apparently didn't get the message behind my post. No child is an angel, mine included. But I as a parent would never tolerate someone yelling and demeaning my child. Hell, I would not tloerate someone doing that to one of my students. Using a loud voice, as you call it, and yelling are two different things. You can use 'a teacher's voice' but to yell is highly unprofessional and demeaning. There are several ways to get your class's attention without having to yell. If you don't know how, then maybe you need to look it up.

Trish
(I have the courage to state my opinon AND leave a name)
