Your child is no better than anyone else's child. If you do not yell you do not get the attention of the class. I agree that we must back up our words with action. It is legal to yell at children. You need to keep your child in line. I will not allow a child to destroy property, hurt another child or show me disrespect without yelling at him. Heck with being professional. We teachers have been so professional that students eat us for lunch! I would hope any administrator would put a parent in his or her place for complaining that a big bad teacher yelled at his or her sweet child. For goodness sakes! I like to work around schools where administrators use a loud voice and back up teachers that do the same thing. Enough is enough!
