It is definitely a no no
By Trish

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi,
From what I learned in college and my own experience, yelling is definitely a no-no. First, think of it this way, if your child was in that class would you want someone to yell at him/her? (I would NOT. And to be
honest, would be right there in the school the next morning doing a little bit of fussing or my own. If my child is that disobedient/respectful, I should be called)
second and most importantly, it simply isn't professional. I prefer upper elementary/middle school. I have subbed and taught those grades and I have NEVER yelled and will never yell. THE MOMENT THAT YOU YELL, YOU HAVE LOST
ALL CONTROL AND RESPECT OF THE CLASS IN QUESTION.
You can talk in a firm voice. But there is absolutely no reason or excuse to yell. One yells at an animal not another human being.
