A little perc
By aggie'swife

Clip to ScrapBook
he note asks parents to tell what kind of environment their child will need to be in in order to succeed. It states that they prefer that parents not request specific teachers because they can't always honor those requests.
It does say that if you would prefer not to have a certain teacher because of personality issues or past experiences, you can note that on the paper. Our school has done this ever since I've been there (15 years). I've never heard of it being used against anyone. I personally would rather have a parent tell the principal that they didn't want their child in my class than to have to deal
with a parent that didn't want to work with me all year long.

When I taught elementary our principal did basically the same thing. It worked out very well.

Additionally this principal did something else: a perc for teachers who had their own children at that school. You were able to pick your child's teacher. This worked out well and kept the climate among your co-workers very positive.
