You can't really "do" anything to get people to donate, you just have to wait until a donor takes interest in your grants. One thing you can try is rewriting your proposal to make it sound more interesting. The better it
sounds, the better it sells. The other thing you can do is look at how much money your proposal costs. The cheaper your proposal is, the more likely it is to be funded in the short term. My proposals generally run a few hundred dollars and take 2-5 months to get funded. I had a colleague who asked for a computer ($1000 or so) and it took over a year. If you have an expensive proposal that
involves several pieces, break it up into a few smaller grants that may be funded sooner.

I haven't seen your proposal, so I can only speak in generalities here.
