Clip to ScrapBook
I had a friend who taught fifth grade her first year, and her contract was not renewed at the end of the year... so, she moved on to another district and taught sixth grade - same thing... so she decided teaching was not
for her...

Then, due to a layoff, she was left looking for a job midyear. My suggestion was, you have a certificate, find a permanent sub or someone resigned midyear type thing and do that for the rest of the year while you look for what you WANT to do... so she did.. and found a job teaching four year olds in a "transitional" kindergarten (not quite ready for kinder, but don't
need another year in Pre-K type thing)... my first thought was "thank goodness it's only for a few months!!" (because I'd have NEVER survived with four year olds!!) That was 8 years ago.. she's still there, and is now head of the department... so, yes, I think everyone has a place... and hers was NOT intermediate.. but she is AWESOME with Early Childhood... go figure...
