district wide By School Time

I don't know if it varies by state, but in NJ you get tenure in a district. If you leave, you lose it and start over again in another district. It doesn't mean that you can never lose your job, it just makes it much harder. You can still lose a job due to a reduction in force or due to cause. But the cause can't be a minor thing.
