I am in a small school with 4, 5, and 6 grade. We have reading for our students that have been identified as gifted. During reading they leave the gen. ed room and go to the TEAM teacher. (I don't remember what team stands for) She gives them their reading grade. Then, she also goes into each of our classes for 40 minutes a week for thinking skills. The students have certain criteria to meet. Scores on state testing, teacher recommendation, checklist that the teacher has to fill out, and if they participated before their performance has to have been good. It seems to work alright, the thinking skills area could be better.
