Bulletin Board

When my principal retired, I had my class do three different computer projects, and we placed them on the board. The first project used Kidspiration software. I scanned a pic of the principal, and the kids imported it into| Kidspiration. Then they made a web around the picture with links that had boxes saying what they liked about the principal. For the second project I read Fortunately by Remy Charlip. We did a takeoff on that book and had all these things happen that almost prevented him from attending his retirement party. We brainstormed it together, and then the kids illustrated the pages on paper. | |
For the last project I read What Principals Do When No One is Looking. We did a project called What the Principal is Doing Next Year When No One is Looking. They were a hoot. We brainstormed ideas for that as well. Then I scanned all their projects and created web pages in his honor on our class web page. The bulletin board had all their projects, and was the first thing you saw when you came in the building. I also bound all three projects into books for him. He loved the projects. We shared them at his retirement party as well.
