Fast food
By Teach4

Clip to ScrapBook
It's funny - when I was typing the title of this post, I accidentally typed Fat food. Maybe I should have left it?

Anyway, at our school, the parents are not allowed to bring fast food lunches. It's a private school, though, so I don't know if that gives us more leeway about things that are not acceptable.

As far as their own lunches, the kids bring pretty healthy stuff. The cookies, chips, etc. are usually limited and if they do bring them, they are in small amounts.

Maybe others would agree with me that it seems to be a socioeconomic situation? Fresh fruit and veggies are more expensive than junk many times. My kids come from middle to upper middle class homes and seem to eat much, much healthier than the lunches you are describing.
