We are not allowed to forbid anything. I recall a few years ago I got a phone call shortly before school started from a very concerned mother about her obese first grader. She was worried she wouldn't fit in our desks. I made sure I saved a "bigger" desk for her. She did need it. Mom assured me they were working on eating healthy and exercising more. So, when she brought her lunch to school and showed me what was in there I was SHOCKED! A bag of chips, a fruit roll up(well, it's the fruit group right????) a half a sandwich and 2 full sized hershey bars!!!! I don't think she ate the sandwich. Poor kid. She was trained from an early age to overeat!
