Retiring Principal
By Sam5

Clip to ScrapBook
A few years ago our principal retired, and we had a short assembly at the end of the day. The kids sang two songs led by the music teacher. Then some of the class did small presentations.

My class( the oldest in
the building) wrote an acrostic poem spelling out the letters of the school with all the things they were sure she was going to miss about the school. Some of them were funny(like listening to beginner band music and eating cafeteria food) and some were more serious( smiling at every student and greeting them in the morning). The kids actually acted out the poem with props, and two kids
were the narrators. I had a very talented group of kids that year so they did an awesome job. We put the poem, a picture of the school, and a picture of the class together in a frame.
