I made the move this year

Clip to ScrapBook
We do have standardized tests in the spring, but we don't teach to them. The great thing is if there is something in particular in my curriculum that my kids are really interested in, I can spend time and dig deeper.

While we do take ERBs, we are told they are just a snap shot, one little piece of the picture. (I'm a little nervous because I don't know anything about these tests and I'm hoping my kids will do well. I have taught in public schools for so long, I can't let go of the "testing mentality" No one else seems to be concerned about them at all!

While I miss my babies in the urban school I used to teach in, I certainly don't miss all that test prep!
