G'day mate!

Clip to ScrapBook
Have a look at Gigglepotz for lots of Aussie ideas which I can vouch for .
http://www.gigglepotz.com/caustralia.htm

There's a great picture on the page which would suit a door display: a map of Australia with
the inside colored in the striking colors of the Aboriginal flag ( red and black bands with a yellow sun in the centre) with the stars (southern cross ) of the Australian flag. Around the inside edge is painted the rainbow serpent from the aboriginal creation story known as the Dreamtime.
Aboriginal dot painting patterns can be made by dipping the end of a dowel in paint and dabbing
spots on a dark background). Xray patterns showing the internal organs& bones of animals with lots of cross-hatching are not too hard to replicate. You can find pictures of kangaroos, lizards etc done this way- google aboriginal x-ray art.

Long cardboard cylinders such as found in bolts of fabric are great for painting as didgeridoos . Draw a boomerang shape on black art paper, cut out and use a chopstick end to dip in paint to make dot patterns

'Learn to speak Aussie' on the page will give you authentic slang words.

All good wishes from Downunder!
