My kids didn't have as much time as yours will. However, I tried to keep to the routine as much as possible. Mine fill their water bottles, sharpen pencils, and usually have FYOE reading (for your own enjoyment reading). Last week I also let them draw, we had a fun word search about ways that you can feel and they drew a picture on the back, etc.) It gives them a time to visit with each other as they arrive before settling in!
