Turn it off

The first year I had a projector and smartboard, I used to leave it on most of the time (using picture mute when I didn't want the image on the SB). My bulb got dim pretty quickly. I say turn it off if you are not going to be using it for 15-20 minutes. If I am going to be using it again in 15-20 minutes, then I use the picture mute if I don't want it to show on the SB. The bulbs for the projectors are super expensive, so try to make it last as long as you can.
