frustrated: meeting scheduled
By Sharon

Clip to ScrapBook
I have a meeting scheduled with the principal of that particular school on Monday. I am giving him one suggestion. In another school I sub at, all teachers are required to have a folder, kept in the sub coordinator's office.
In this folder are emergency lesson plans (no need to hunt down the department head you don't know), role sheets, updated seating charts, referral forms, hall passes, and detention forms. In addition, there is a list of extension numbers to call for help if you need it. the teachers also leave the planned absence plan on the desk. There for, when you walk into the room, you have
at least 3-5 days worth of work. Once they have an emergency, they must change the emergency plans. It works like a charm in other schools. The sub picks up this folder in the morning when she picks up the key. At the end of the day, she returns the folder with the key.

Fellow subs, if you were having a meeting such as this, what else would you suggest to make your job that much easier?
Sharon
