Portfolios
By m&mTeach

Clip to ScrapBook
•I use portfolios as a way to ensure that I have body of evidence for each area I'm assessing, rather than just basing my grades on a single assessment. I also use portfolios to show parents why students receive the grades they do.

•I look at my assessments alongside specific rubrics to determine strengths and weaknesses in student performance/learning. In doing this, I am able to better evaluate the areas in which I need to support my students. I also look for patterns of weakness that are prevalent in my class- I address these areas in whole group. If there are patterns of weakness in a few students' work, I will address it in small group instruction.
